Bergen Bachata Weekend

Join us for Bergen Bachata Weekend on 21–22 November, with eight workshops taught by Piotr and Dorota! Saturday focuses on fundamentals and musicality at Ny-Krohnborg skole. In the evening, we meet at Danckert Krohn kulturhus for a Dominican bachata workshop with Juan, followed by a bachata social. On Sunday, we return to Ny-Krohnborg for sensual and bachazouk, finishing with social dancing.

A weekend with Piotr, Dorota and Juan: eight daytime workshops, Dominican bachata before Saturday's party, and socials on both days.

Dorota started dancing at the age of six. After 13 years of disco, hip-hop and classical dance, she discovered jazz, which she still teaches today. Salsa and bachata later joined her dance life.

She has won multiple world championship titles in disco and hip-hop, placed first and second at Poland's Bachata Stars, and reached the Bachata Stars International final twice. Her dancing emphasises natural, fluid and subtle movement. Her ballet background provides a strong technical foundation that she brings to her teaching.

Piotr specialises in bachata and has developed his dancing through workshops and festivals. As an instructor, he shares his energy and love of dance with his students. His individual approach helps participants feel confident on the dance floor, whatever their level.

Piotr and Dorota teach all eight daytime workshops throughout the weekend.

Juan🇨🇴

Originally from Colombia and having lived for many years in Cantabria, Northern Spain, Juan is a true lover of dance and of both Cuban and Dominican culture. He teaches Saturday's pre-party workshop in Dominican bachata.
